I began my career working with children with additional needs in 2002 as a Special Education Teacher. Through this experience, I witnessed first-hand the significant impact that communication difficulties can have on children’s learning, development, and everyday lives. This sparked my interest in speech and language intervention and ultimately led me to pursue and complete a Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology at the National University of Singapore. I am fluent in English and Chinese, with conversational proficiency in Hokkien, Cantonese, and Thai.

Since 2008, I have developed my clinical expertise across a diverse range of healthcare and educational settings in Singapore, including a paediatric hospital, established private practice, community therapy services, and mainstream preschools. During my time at the hospital, I had the opportunity to spearhead a speech and language therapy programme for preschools. The programme was subsequently endorsed by the Singapore government and implemented nationwide.

For the past six years, I have been based in Bangkok following my family’s relocation there, where I continued to broaden my clinical experience within international school settings. This experience has also given me a strong familiarity with the British curriculum and the unique needs of children learning within international school environments.

I work with children from 1 to 16 years of age across a wide range of developmental and communication needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, language delays and impairments, speech sound disorders, literacy difficulties, and fluency disorders. I particularly enjoy working with young children and I believe strongly in a collaborative, family-centred approach to intervention. By actively involving caregivers and school partners in the therapeutic process, I aim to equip the adults around each child with the knowledge and strategies they need to support meaningful progress across everyday environments.

Beyond providing intervention to children and families, I am passionate about sharing knowledge and supporting the professional development of educators and therapists. I have taught Learning Support courses as an Adjunct Lecturer with the National Institute of Early Childhood Development in Singapore, and I continue to expand my clinical knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development and training in evidence-based approaches.
